The Country Mile --  10 mile      run, walk, or bike

        Starting Time:  7:00 am

    The Panaca Fitness Center, together with Meadow Valley Pharmacy, is sponsoring The Country Mile--a run, walk, or bike activity scheduled for Saturday morning, October 1, 2011.  Entrants should assemble at the home of James and Kodi Bleak (1090 Oak Wells Road) at 7 am.  Registration may be finalized at this time, althrough early registration is encouraged.  Entrants may elect to run or walk the entire 10.2 mile route or have their bicycles and helmets dropped off at any mile marker along the route prior to the activity, and bicycle for any part of the distance.  Participants will be taken by bus to Rabbit Spring for an 8 am starting time.  Bicycle helmets should be worn due to the uneven surface of the course, and extreme care and courtesy should be shown by those on bikes.  Bib numbers should be worn throughout the activity, and water will be available along the course.  The course ends back at the Bleak home, for breakfast, water, fruit, etc.

To sign up or get more information, contact Dr. Klomp's office [775-728-4432] for a packet to sign up or download the registration forms at this site.  Entry fee is $22.00 per person until September 23, 2011 and $25.00 thereafter and includes tee shirt and breakfast following The Country Mile.  Deadline for shirts:   September 23.  Discounts are available for couples and families, and breakfast tickets for non-participants are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12 years of age.
