     The Condor Classic is approximately 5 miles of running or walking from the bottom (West end) of Condor Canyon up into the canyon 2 1/2 miles, then back down to a little past the West end of the Canyon.  The trail is well-marked.  The views are spectacular and, particularly at this time of day, are really worth the effort to view them as the morning sun illuminates them.

This run is being held in conjunction with the Lincoln County Fair and Rodeo.  The announcement in the Fair Book is correct--we will meet at the base of Condor Canyon, where participants may leave their extra gear and cars, etc. where THE RACE WILL END.    Drive out past the Panaca Spring until you find the "Finish Line" set up near the road at the base of lthe Canyon.  Participants will run or walk to a point 2.5 miles up the Canyon and then return back to the point of beginning, so that they will complete the race where their vehicles are parked.  Water will be provided along the course.

     Due to the heat of the day at this time of year, participants are encouraged to be at the Finish Line at 6:00am, so that instructions and information can be given, and we can get to the beginning of the race as quickly as possible.  Please use the event form under Event Registration, and fill in the necessary information for this event.  Registration is $20.00
